Terms of Stay

What to Bring


You need to bring food and beverages, personal hygiene items (including toilet paper), sheets, towels, pillowcases. Linen hire is available - King set $10.00, Queen set $8.00, Single set $5.00, Towels $3.00, Bath Mats $2.00, Hand Towels $1.50, Face Cloths $1.00. All other bedding, cooking utensils etc are provided. Houses with log fires have wood provided.

NB Linen is provided for guests staying in our three serviced units, Room 218 at the Heritage Hotel, Apartment 1 and Apartment 4 on Conical Hill Road.

Cleaning


All of our Hanmer Springs holiday homes are inspected between tenancies to ensure a reasonable standard of presentation. However to keep our rental costs to you as low as possible we ask that you leave the homes clean, vacuumed and well presented for the next tenants.

If you do not wish to leave the house clean and tidy on departure please advise us and we can arrange a paid service at an extra charge (excluding bed making and dishwashing). We will inspect the house on your departure and reserve the right to charge you for a clean if this is not done satisfactorily. If a paid service has not been arranged, there will be an extra $10 charge on top of the normal house service fee.

Homes that supply BBQs must be cleaned by the tenants after use, otherwise a $30 cleaning fee will be charged.

Confirmation / Payment


Each booking made attracts a $10 non refundable administration fee. This fee is in addition to the nightly tariff quoted for each home and is charged only once for each booking.

Please note a $20 surcharge will be applicable to one night bookings made for weekends or holiday periods. Some house owners will not accept one night bookings. There may also be a minimum number of nights permitted to be booked for event/long weekends. Please enquire if necessary.

NB the surcharge does not apply for one night stays at Room 218 at the Heritage Hotel.

A deposit of one nights accommodation plus the $10 booking fee is required to secure your booking. Should the booking be only for one night then payment in full is required. This will be deducted from your account and any remaining balance will be payable upon arrival. A booking confirmation will be forwarded to you upon confirmation of availability and receipt of payment.

You may pay your deposit securely online with your Visa or Mastercard at the time of booking or make a direct deposit, or send a cheque. If you are unable to pay by credit card please make a note on the booking sheet and advise us as to whether you will be sending a cheque or paying by direct credit. Credit cards are charged the required deposit and you may pay your balance as you wish upon arrival.

The deposit payment needs to be received within 7 days of you making your booking and we reserve the right to rebook the home should it not be received within that period. Should you require extra time or wish to cancel a booking please contact us immediately.

If a booking is made within 21 days of the expected arrival date then the deposit will be required within 48 hours.

Please do not deposit money without receiving a Reservation Request with your booking reference confirming your booking from our office.

Once a deposit is received we will email a confirmation receipt with information on where to pick up the key.

Any balance owing can be paid at our office at Shop 1, 30 Conical Hill Road, during office hours which are 9am to 5pm every day apart from Friday (9am - 7pm).

In the event of an account not being paid on departure, for either accommodation, sundry hire or other possible charges, we reserve the right to charge the given credit card the balance of the accommodation. Should a credit card not be provided we will send you an invoice to be paid with seven days. We also reserve the right to refer any overdue account to a debt collection agency and add all costs of collection to that account.

Cancellations and Alterations


If you wish to cancel your booking for any reason 21 days or more prior to arrival date you will receive a refund of the deposit made less the $10 administration fee.

If you wish to cancel within 21 days of arrival date, your deposit will not be refunded and you will be liable for payment of the full period of time originally booked unless the same home is able to be re-let for the same period. If a refund is made it will be less the $10 non refundable administration fee.

Should you choose to shorten the length of your stay within 21 days of your arrival date you will still be liable for the full period originally booked. Please choose your dates carefully.

Transferring a confirmed booking from one home to another or changing your dates will also incur a $20 administration fee. Please select your home carefully. Please note transferring a booking is only permitted 21 days or more prior to the arrival date, this is otherwise deemed to be a cancellation for the original home.

All bookings are subject to cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances including the sale of the property, long-term letting or other events outside Alpine Holiday Homes control. If your booking is cancelled we will endeavour to book you into an equivalent home, however Alpine Holiday Homes takes no responsibility if this is not possible.

Any existing deposit may be either put towards a new booking or refunded in full. Any deposits held must be used within 12 months of the cancellation date.

Check In and Check Out


When planning your trip please take into consideration that the check-in time is any time after 2.00pm, please do not enter the property before this time unless otherwise organised with us. Check out time is 11am (or 10am if you have opted for the cleaning service). Late check out may also be possible with prior consent from Alpine Holiday Homes - early check in and late check outs will be at our discretion and will incur a $20 per hour fee. Please note a late check out without prior consent may incur another night's fee.

Entertainment


Latest release videos and DVDs can be hired from our shop and booked in advance. We also have Playstations, a DVD player and a BBQ for hire. Please pre book when making your online booking or at [email protected].

Noise


Noisy parties or gatherings are not permitted. We ask that you respect the neighbours. If complaints are received the tenant will be ask to quieten down. We have random security patrols to ensure houses are being used legitimately, we retain the right to evict you should you not abide by these rules.

Age Restriction


It is our company policy to prohibit bookings made for groups of individuals who have anyone under 20 years of age (please note: this does not include families with children under 20 or groups of workers). Proof of age may be requested from any individual at any time and those unable to comply will be asked to vacate.

Pets / Smoking


Some homes do allow pets however no pets are allowed without prior permission from Alpine Holiday Homes. The homes are all non-smoking.

Telephones


Telephones are not available in the homes, however we have excellent cell phone coverage, and fax, internet, and email facilities are available in the village.

Damage


The tenant is liable for damages to any property or content of the property incurred during their stay. Please inspect the property and report and damage immediately to the office upon arrival. Should any damage occur to the house during your stay we reserve the right to charge any credit card numbers held or invoice for payment.

Lost Property


Alpine Holiday Homes takes no responsibility for belongings left in the houses however we will endeavour to return any items that we may find. There may be a retrieval fee for the return of any found property, items will be held for 3 months before being disposed of.

Rubbish


One black rubbish bag is supplied at each house upon arrival. You are required to dispose of your rubbish. You can either take it with you, drop it off to the Hanmer Refuse Station (operating hours are provided at the house) or if you vacate on a Sunday you may leave it on the footpath for pick up. There will be a dumping fee charged for any rubbish left behind.

Some homes provide a green wheelie bin for your use. The wheelie bin is emptied when it is full, if the wheelie bin should become full during your stay please let the office staff know so we can arrange for it to be emptied

Mid Week Special


Mid week specials are available for Sunday through Thursday nights excluding school or public holidays. 20% off for two mid week nights booked. 30% off for three or more mid week nights booked. Weekend nights, public holidays and school holidays will not be discounted. The above discount does not apply to 17 Leamington Street, this home has a separate discount - 30% off for three consecutive mid week nights - Monday through Thursday nights, excluding school or public holidays. Conditions may apply

Faults


We do not guaZodiacee that the products and services that are listed in any of the homes will be continuous or fault free. AHH will endeavour to repair/replace any faulty item but given the limited services available in the village this may not always be immediately possible. Events beyond our control, such as poor weather, power cuts or unforeseen electronic breakdowns, do not give the tenant the automatic entitlement to a discount, unless such event has prevented the tenant from being able to safely occupy the property altogether and AHH are unable to relocate the tenant to a property of equal size and standard.

Changing These Terms and Giving Notices


We may change these terms, by changing or removing existing terms or adding new ones, at any time. The change applies from the time it is published on our site.
If we need to give you any notice, we can do this by emailing you at the last email address you have provided us. You are deemed to have received the email at the time the email leaves our server.

General


These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ourselves

Our failure or delay in exercising or enforcing any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

If any provision of these terms is found by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the parties nevertheless agree that the Court should endeavour to give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the other provisions of these terms remain in full force and effect.

Should you be asked to vacate the property early due to breech of these terms and conditions you will be liable for payment of the full period of time originally booked.
